Getting bugged

by mosquitoes running around everywhere- and getting bitten while running takes the fun out of a tiresome activity.

Hi - I assume you mean "by" and not using "my" to imply any specific mosquitoes of your acquaintance :)

Here is a passage from Charles Darwin's "The Voyage of the Beagle."
