Finding the way

Went out for a run this cold evening. It feels good to get back to it. Can't run away from one's run...

Running Body Slumbering Mind

Am slowly getting back to running regularly..I went out this evening and ran my usual route...and saw the banks of the DuPage River flooded. Consequence of massive rains yesterday.

While the body is getting back to running condition, the mind seems to be retrogressing. I was trying to help a student in Chemistry and I had to work hard to remember some basic stuff....
What a tragedy!

Getting into the run of things

To run hard and to run fast...and to run consistently
That's the goal of life.

As I went out to run this evening, I went through some of the notes I received recently..notes that made me sappy- sad and happy.

  • In your case, I can not tell you how kind I regard your sincere efforts. Whether or not I land a job as a result of your efforts, the act alone is heart felt.
  • I'm just writing to let you know I got into Loyola, with the help of your recommendation letter! Thank you so much and I will keep you posted on the other schools (including Northern, my top choice!).

Back to Snowy Chicago

Nearly one month after my return from India, I went out and got a decent run in today. The weather was around 0 Celsius, and the ground had snow, but the sun was shining and made for a good day for running.
My thoughts turned to running on the beach in India, and the run at MCC and in Mumbai. I need a 'Run'aissance now!

Running by the Bay of Bengal

On January 11, we had arrived in Mamallapuram and checked into the Ideal Beach Resort. After enjoying the afternoon by the sea, I ran a couple of miles on the sandy beach. It was extremely tiring and I was exhausted.
The next day I ran again in the evening and managed to cover a little more distance, but the body ached for quite a while.
Running in the waves and on the sand is quite an experience.
