It is interesting to compare the LataKishore song 'Ab KeSaawanMeinJiDarre' of RD Burman with the many KishoreAsha duets involving romance in the rain, like "aajrapatjaiyyotohhameinnauthaiyyo" of BappiLahiri. It an be argued that Lata did a better job of conveying the playful mood much better than Asha.

As you well know I would, I of course disagree.
There are many Lata light-hearted rain-duets as good as Abke sawan mein jee dare. As well, there are many Asha rain-duets equally good.
